Fruiting Chamber Height

What is the shortest a fruiting chamber should be, if I'm using cakes and about cake height casings? I'm wanting to use of those Sterlite Shelving system thingies, as it would be great, but would it be high enough. And would the light coming in from the front really screw up pinning? If I put tin foil on top of the shelving drawer would that make it too hot, or would the light reflecting off that be fine?

Yes I apologize for not noticing that question, but what about light. The only light would come in through the front of the drawer, would this be adequate and not mess up growth? And if it will can I put tin foil on top to reflect light, or would that create too much heat, it's way too small of an area to use a light, so I'm trying to be creative.
