    #1094611 - 11/28/02 07:27 PM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Whats the minimum fruiting chamber height, since my friends are about 24 inches and he finds them to be larger than he needs, and the next size down are about 8 inches tall.

8" is definatley too small. I would say 20inch is a good height for a fruiting chamber.

tell your friend that he might be able to put some tacs or glue some bits to the side of his fruiting chamber so he can lay a piece of plexi glass across and reduce the height.....or even stretch some polythene across.

When you use poo, 24 inches is just perfect.  You would'nt want any less thats for sure.

My terrarium is a ten gallon, about 20" high, and that seems fine, although the shrooms do eventually contact the drip shield, which doesn't seem to be a problem. The casing chamber is a little more, and that seems more than adequate as well.
