ID Request - Central FL
    #8269530 -

Hey all, great forum! Im about to start some mushroom cultivating, but I thought until then.. Id go on the hunt. Can anyone ID these? All were found in cow pasture manure near Lakeland, FL.

Species 1:

v

I believe these are cubes.
Gills: Brown/purpleish/grey
Stem: White, has veil, bruising blue
Cap: umbonate (largest), convex, or ovate (smallest); center is gold/brown, fading to white at edges.
Print: violet

Species 2:

I found tons of these in the field..
Gills: Light grey to black, unattached (approx every other only comes 1/2 way from rim to stem)
Stem: white/ivory
Cap: Ovate to convex, Shiny, white/silver-ish
Print: black
Bruising: orange/red

Species 3:

(**Im not sure the larger with the long, thin stem fits in this group)
Gills: Grey
Stem: white to brown
Cap: darker brown, ovate
Print: black
Bruising: none observed

Psilocybe cubensis for the first one. Though 2 of them aren't. One looks like a Copelandia cyanescens.

Species 2 and 3 are probably Panaeolus sphinctrinus/campanulatus.

Just check all of them for blue bruising. I can see some obvious bruising on the first set.

Edit: The third picture from the tops appears to have three different species. The bottom right (nearest the penny) appears to be the cope, whereas the one on the middle left appears to be another species of Panaeolus.

Edit 2: The very first pic looks to have two copes in it. Is the same mushroom in the foreground the same as the one on the middle left of the third picture?

From your first 3 pics, I see one in the very top pic that seems it does not belong....but the others appear to be cubes. Yum. Nice.

The white ones without gold tan centers, no veil, and white gills...they aren't cubes, I don't know what they are, some kind of pan subbs maybe...but I would not eat them.

If they have gold/tan in the center of the caps....if they bruise bluish/purplish...the gills are darker to a deep brownish purple...and the spore prints correlate that...and they grew in cowshit or cowshit enriched dirt...they are most likely cubes.

But definitely get expert ID before you do something stupid, we don't want to see you sick.

EDIT: My personal pref on cubes, is the ones that are young enough to still have the veil present, about 1.5 to 2.0 inches across the cap at most, and nice golden tan caps...they are just as strong as ones that are 5 inches across, I believe that once the cap opens up, they gain little in strength and mostly just extra mass which makes for messier dining. I have gotten rocked off of just 2.3g of fresh, young cubes.

Species #1-As others said, first species is Psilocybe cubensis, although you do have 2 other species in there. They appear to be blueing and could be Copelandia cyanescens as CowShit said, however seperate them, and post seperate pics of them, along with spore print info, so someone can ID them.

Species #2-Looks to be Panaeolus antillarum, no activo.

Species #3-Probably Panaeolus sphinctrinus or campanulatus like CowShit said. Not active either.

Wow, thanks for the huge response!  I've gone through my find very carefully tonight and picked all the cubensis out based lastly on a brownish-violet print.. all of which I'm 100% sure of (I left those 2 mentioned out.. upon further investigation..)

As far as my cyanescens (I think this is "blue meanie"),

I understand it's the nearest to the penny?  (Not the small one sitting on top of my biggest cube.) It definitely appears very blue compared to the cubes.  The other small one in this pic (on the biggest cube), had a tiny bit of blueing.. but I wasn't positive so I tossed it.  Better safe than sorry, I suppose.

Again, thanks for all the help!  I'll be around on the forums in the future
