Has Eckhart Tolle Rick Roll'd us?

Is this popular spiritual writer no other than an older Rick Astley? Have millions worldwide been spiritually Rick Roll'd?

Would it matter if Eckhart was indeed Rick Astley? Does this lessen the importance of his teaching? I was already suspicious of Tolle's "awakening" story in the Power of Now, but is a little deception OK if it opens us to a higher spiritual reality?

If the original philosophical implications were only bullshit so I could post my Rick Astley / Eckhart Tolle comparison, are the philosophical implications worthless to discuss? There is potential material there, but knowing my heart was not in it, is it an empty proposition worthless of treatment?
