How To Make A Scale?

My digital scale doesn't work and I have a friend who wants to buy an eighth, is there anyway I can weigh out 3.5 grams?

Surely there has to be some kind of nickel ghetto scale I can make out of toothpicks and dental floss.

Find a 3.5 gram weight. Balance it on a stick with the weed on the other side.

If you have a spring lying around, ideally with a spring constant not too high so you can actually determine how far it is stretching to a decent degree of accuracy, itll be straight forward. Just hang some shit that adds up to 3.5, I forget how much money weighs. But I think you can create 3.5 with money, though Im not too sure on that

call someone with a scale and have them weight out some pennies this way you'll have a counter weight. or tape 3x $1 bills. i remember a dollar is 1 gram add about .5 in tape and you should have it

bills weigh a gram..nickel weighs 5 grams..cant remember the rest, and I don't have any digits anymore =[

Ok, here goes. Take two baggies, in one is a quarter in the other is a dime + the weed. Put these baggies equidistant from the center of gravity on a pencil. Tie a string to the center of the pencil and hang it from something sturdy. When the two balance you should have 3.4 grams of weed.

Or if you wanna figure out another way the average weight of different change is as follows.

Penny=2.637953g,
Nickel=5.011551g,
Dime=2.278447g,
and Quarter=5.6792g
