Looking for a scale.
    #3819032 - 02/22/05 10:11 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

I am looking for a small cheap scale. I would like it to read to .1 gram. Are these $20 scales on ebay any good?
thanks

I like a scale that measures tenthousandths of a gram myself. I don't know, which $20 scales on ebay? (don't make us do the work, give us links)

i bought a jewelry scale on ebay for 25 bucks after shipping. works good for me. autocalibration, accurate to 0.1g, max 200g, a pretty blue backscreen light, and its pocketsize with a cover.

Yer gonna pay a lot of money for one to the .001. Well a decent amount.

I have a My Weigh poinstcale 250. It works great for my needs, although lately it has been kind of funny with the tare and it likes to get off by .1g every time i put somthing over 14g on it.

Like i turn it on, it reads zero. PUt somthing on the scale it weighs it. Then take it off it reads -.1 do it again then it reads -.2. So if i weigh multiple things i gotta turn off and on each time. It still dead acurate tho.

This is where i got my scale few years back.

Aye, but to me, it is well worth it.

And yeah, those My Weigh's are pretty good little scales, you'll be fine, PennyPincher

Would anyone recommend a My Weigh over a Triton? Or vice versa?

Cheers, man.  I'm not dealing with jewelry or anything that needs to be measured in that kind of increment.   But it's a good brand, then?  I think I may just order some cool stuff from them.

The calibration weight weighs exactly 100 grams. You put that on your scale to make sure it reads 100 grams as well. You can also use 20 nickels, but that won't be exactly 100 grams, but it'll be close.
