Help me calibrate my scale!
    #3351055 - 11/12/04 12:44 PM (12 years, 25 days ago)

I need to calibrate my scale, to see if it weighs properly still.
I just weighed a $20 bill and it came out to .9g
when I weighed a quarter it came up as 6.7-6.8g

Is it just off by +-.2g?

Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know quarters or bills, but nickels are always .5 right?

your scale didn't come with calabration weights? nickels weight five grams (though closer to 4.9) pennies weight 2.5.

no, mine was a CHEAP scale, only good to .1g

it's a cheap stoner's scale, I would have lost the calibration weight anyways

Thanks for your input, i'll test out some coins
