last phil show, their rendition of Golden Road sent me to heaven and back

I don't know who the old fella on slide guitar/vocals was for that song, but I really hope he still performs with them

unfortanately I haven't seen phil for almost 2 years

my first show was at echo project.  i was so beat that after my friends left to get some sleep, i curled up on my blanket and remained semi-concious for the rest of the set...until they busted out st. stephen to which i got up and danced my ass off

i would've seen them my first bonnaroo but i had to leave an hour before hand so i could be sure to make it to work by 7 the next morning :frown:

i hope to see them or the dead someday.  i wasn't terribly impressed with ratdog

See I like Ratdog they do a good job. Sometimes throw me for a loop, but they're an all around very solid band.

i've seen him 3 times, each time a more sloppy show then the last. I saw the Other Ones in 2002, phil a few times; ratdog was just a really unsatisfying show, I am sorry.

See I like Ratdog they do a good job. Sometimes throw me for a loop, but they're an all around very solid band.



i just don't dig his/their new songs thrown in the mix.  that's why i'd love for the dead to do another tour.

i was considering it but too make it out there would be 300 bucks minimum and it coisides with other tuff. tho as far as line up goes theres no place i would rather be

i might be able to make it.  i kinda got screwed at my current uni on trying to graduate, so i have to find a place where i can take one or both science courses i need that will transfer.  depending on when one or both of these is offered, i can probably make rothbury.  even if i take one of the science where i currently am, the class doesn't start until the 7th of july, so i'll be swinging it perfectly :laugh:

I can't say I liked Ratdog either...first time I saw them was last year's Roo.  Phil & Friends are great, man.  I love their style and how purely positive their musical vibrations are.  I missed Phil at Bonnaroo '06, too. :frown:

wtf? you haven't seen the same ratdog i have. most solid jamming band around (in my opinion of course), karan and bobby play each other really well and the whole band is very talented musicians. i wish he'd play more bobby songs, but thats my only complaint.

needless to say, i don't think you've listened with an open ear

did you ever come to camp shroomery last year?  i couldn't find it '06, but i was there a good bit last year, considering my tent was the darker blue two person tent isolated on the other side of the canopy (not covered by derx's tarp)
