I get erections too easily

Even when I'm not aroused, there it is. I could be having the most spiritual time with a girl, and not want to have sex in the least, yet it is there.

I can't cuddle with girls for fear of them hitting it and getting creeped out.

Does anyone have any ways to make this stop? It's been going on for a long time, and I'm just not trying to get help about it.

Again, it is there when I am not aroused in the least. It really really sucks...

I masturbate maybe once daily. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I started masturbating when I was 12, and I did it pretty frequently at that age. The first I can remember getting frequent erections was when I had my first serious girlfriend at age 13. Didn't stop afterwords either.

I still masturbate what some could call often. on average 24 times a month I'd say now. I don't really know what the average is for most people, but thats all the info I really have.

But now whenever I try to get close to some one, it always gets in the way. Sometimes even when I'm just talking on the phone with them about something as simple as hugging.

I need some help here...

I can kind of relate. I cannot sustain 30+ seconds of cuddling without getting up. Used to be that it'd spur an awkward moment. But nowadays, when I'm with my girlfriend and she gives me a lengthy hug or curls up on the couch with me and I get an erection, I'll just say something to the effect of "So what?" "Whatdya expect"

I'd say!! Don't think it has too much to do with your masturbation, or masturbation background. How about your current sexual interaction with girls? Maybe physically longing for some female attention. All in all, though sounds normal. Sounds like you're passionate.
When you feel it comin on though, try thinking of something really dull, platonic, and breathing...Sometimes anxiousness can keep the bone strong.

I get erections really easy when cuddling and I just embrace them to the fullest, I let women know full and well that I got a hard on.

How does an erection work and why do they happen spontaneously sometimes

Erection is the scientific term for that state of the penis when the two corpora cavernosa (two tubular muscles) are filled with blood. This means that the penis hardens and grows in length to accommodate the extra blood.

Penile erection is usually the result of sexual stimulation, but is also known to occur spontaneously, most commonly at night, during erotic dreams. Erection in males can be caused by mechanical stimulation, or by the pressure of the bladder, when full. The exact cause of spontaneous erections is not known. The erection is crucial to sexual intercourse and most other sexual activities for males.

From the physiological point of view, erection is caused by an increased flow of blood to the penis and by a strong decrease in the outflow. Muscles around the penis relax in order to allow the blood into the corpora cavernosa and corpus spongiosum, while contraction of other muscles reduces the outflow. As the tubular structures fill with blood, the penis expands in both length and girth. It also stiffens and rises to a certain angle (which varies from one man to another).

The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for the failure to achieve erection under conditions of stress. This system interferes with the signals sent by the parasympathetic nervous system, which is actually responsible for activating the erections.

The inability to achieve or maintain erection is known as impotence, or erectile dysfunction.

A less known fact is that erections can occur even after death, due to increased pressure in the penis from sinking fluids or the accumulation of gases.

Hello all, Just putting my 2 cents worth in. I envy you. I've been having problems since I was 16 and they have been because of a psychological nature. Started dating a younger woman and didn't want to disappoint her in case (like most relationships) she thought I didn't find her attractive. Only pills works for me and works well.
