That's not very great really..... circumcision may have something to do with it, in fact probably very very much.... but its probably moreso psychological I guess.... years (like 7) of jerking it without proper lubrication (i was embarrassed to buy lotion when living at home and if there wasn't any around the house i had to use SOAP) has taken its toll on sensitivity I think..... plus it's just ... I personally don't feel any different while having a self induced orgasm than when I do without one... sure it "feels good" but not really, because I'm so used to it.... it's like as soon as its done I'm thinking "Why did I even bother?" Just the immediate second it's over I'm like "okay, why did I do that? It wasn't very good."
Maybe someone can offer me some perspective too?
also I'm not very horny usually, so if I watch a porn and it really gets me turned on I'll come in like 3 strokes and it will be real enjoyable sort of... so that might be something to do with it.

anyway dude..... for an hour? I guess that would be pretty intense. When I'm high I do pretty much what you did, but eventually I screw up and can't hold it in, but I don't have enough excitement to have a good orgasm, so the tension is kind of wasted.
spit really only works for really brief amounts of time, also.... but yeah that sounds fun. I don't have any porn that lasts an hour though :/
I used to be able to do multiple orgasms by exercising that PC muscle or whatever its called, and then holding the ejaculation in... that was fun... but I never really felt like practicing enough to get good at it.

First of all, lube is for pussies. Second, choosing to masturbate doesn't have to mean commitment to orgasm. Maybe one of the reasons some of you aren't enjoying your masturbation is because you're getting all greased up each time then trying to figure out where to deposit your seed while both your hands and your groin are covered in goo and you're stumbling around the room with your pants around your ankles. You can't just toss it in any garbage can or the place will start to smell like a pool and the thought of flushing it can be unpleasant, I mean who likes the thought of their sperm trying to fertilize a lump of crap in a pipe somewhere? Does anyone else ever have satisfying masturbation without ejaculating? No really, it's possible, if you train for it. Sure, expect a few gnarly cases of blue balls before you learn to control what you release and when, because if semen is released from its factory and not expelled then you've got fluid fluid hanging around where it's not supposed to.
Anyone serious about tantra or having a real degree of control should try hovering just below the climax point for a couple sessions then you may begin to realize what is meant by sublimation of the orgastic reflex. I'm a sporadic masturbator whose run the gamut from full on several times a day until you're spewing air to months without. Now, I may go a month without ejaculating even though I've masturbated over a dozen times in that period. Or, I can do without for even longer than that, but what's the use? Frequent and frantic masturbation can still be experienced at times and let's not deny that indulgence in that X-factor internet porn has a lot to do with the quality and degree of involvement with your inner process that are experienced when you're wanking. I masturbated daily for more than 10 years in my life. there were periods during which I masturbated five times a day or even more. I learned a lot about my sexuality and I think masturbation does have a place specially in the first sexual discoveries of the individual.
this year I decided to stop masturbating. there were several reasons for this:
1. a masturbation orgasm can never reach the same level of an orgasm where you're having sex with someone you love.
2. sexual energy is one of the most precious energy sources we have. I many times felt empty after masturbating. like all the energy tension that kept the vibe in my mind just went up in smoke and I'm left alone with nothing to do or feel.
3. I noticed that masturbating before sleep like I did daily (with few exceptions) for many years, I had a lot more difficulty remembering my dreams.
4. masturbating during a shroom trip expands the empty feeling. makes it even worse.
5. there are doctors saying masturbation may have some influence on hair loss. I started having hair loss when I was 16-17. i'd like to slow down the process a bit.
so I went for it and it was not so easy, but I managed to stop. I don't know exactly when was the last time I masturbated. maybe july. I'm not sure. last time I had an orgasm was mid-august, having sex with my love. we had our passionate sexual nights in the past. seven orgasms and more. after having a child however, my wife's sexual rhythm slowed down extensively. at first I had a terrible time dealing with it. slowly I learned to incorporate it into my spiritual path.
I started writing erotic poetry. it's a sublime way to stimulate the flow of sexual energy and direct it in a transcendent direction, endowing it with a spiritual/metaphysical aura. when I started I masturbated along and eventually finished with an orgasm. the second stage was to masturbate but not come. nowadays I do it without masturbating at all. at the end of the day when I'm feeling a little tired, and my concentration levels get pretty low, a 15 minutes small poem can refresh me brilliantly.
