Damp rid in food dehydrator
    #8093450 -

My friend's never used damprid nor my self. Could he put some in the bottom of his food dehydrator to speed up the process. He also wants to make sure this wont cause a bad taste.

thanx in advance

You could but you're just waisting money on damp-rid. The dehydrator should work just fine on its own.

a food dehydrator works pretty fast by itself. damprid wouldnt really make a difference.

if you are set on speeding things up yes you should see a decrease in the time it takes them to dry. But I suggest if you are hell bent on doing this you have an air tight container big enough to fit the dehydrator in. Place damp-rid in large container then add dehydrator with shrooms in it, seal big container and turn on dehydrator.

If you do this post back results

if you have both you need to take the damprid to the trash and throw it out. That shit is absolutely useless

The food dehydrator has been running for 24 hrs with no heat. And they still have a long ways to go and there not on the large scale. We have the heat disabled to avoid the heat controversy.

A lot of people say their is not much difference in potency lost running a dehydrator with the heating element turned on

USE THE HEAT!!!!!!! I'm more worried about all the OXYGEN getting to my drugs. I used have 4 dehydrators going 2 weeks out of 4. You will not notice any potency loss.

do you have any recent data to show that heats hurts them?
Having someone tell you that the heat dried ones were weaker than the others is not very scientific at all.
Mushrooms and placebo go hand and hand. If you give someone two types of cubes and told him that one might be weaker due to heat although they were not heat dried he would almost 100% say that they were weaker.

You guys have no evidence that heats hurts these things but yet you keep the rumor alive. This is not very scientific

To be the devil's advocate. Tahoe do you have scientific evidence that heat doesn't fool with potency.

go to erowid and look at the melting point of the alkaloids in mushrooms. Then take a look at your dehydrators highest temp, there's your proof right there.

My nesco on the highest temp dries a 1/4 lb or so within 8-10 hrs depending on fruit density.

Playing the devils advocate again Coda. It says the melting point of the mushroom at least thats what I read. Can you send me a link where it says the alkaloids melt at such and such temperature. Thanks
