ok i just paid microsoft for a dual liscence copy of vista

one for my desktop and one for my desktop, they were both the highst home version, 'home premium'

at first it tried upgrading but there wee conflicts and errors galore so i had to toss everything on my terrabyte firewire external.

now when i first installed windows gave me this reccomendation to install and update a couple of my hardware drives. this was a separate popup than windos update. i was busy a the time installing other things, soooo i ignored it. now i cant fucking find this reccomended diver thig

does anyone know where it is? id really love to have the latest vista shit for everything on my puter.

so far vista has run like a dream, i love it. i just want those last fe drivers updated. im wondering if after their warning if it just becomes part of 'windows update' or if this is something new/ different?

btw if you are not a gamer, which i am not, vista rocks. i gave a ps3, xbox360 and wii for that shit. well actually ii dont even own any games for ps3, i just bought it as a bluray player. its the chepest and most upgradable bluray. so if any of u guys have an hd tv, i highly reccomend the 360 for amazing hi def, 1080o gaming and blu ray for amazing hi def movies. i had the 360 hd drive addon, but the studios ares are ALL dumping hddvd and moving to bluray,so i sold mine.

Eh.. vista... Nah I didn't like at first but once I got used to it its not too bad. One thing I hate is every time you want to change a setting or something a warning window pops up are you sure you want blah blah... Is there a way to turn those off. I guess they are good for idiots out there who muck up their O.S. all the time. I like mac myself but stuck on win xp for the time being. Now I'm rambling you were asking something about updating your hardware. You mean the drivers? If windows update doesn't handle it you can go to the device manager and manage and update all your hardware. I forget where it is on vista exactly but should be in control panel under system. Hope that helps.

its so slick
it eve improves the quality

watching rambo in decent qualiy on my 60 inch sxrd was so awesome

btw rambo was a must see...it is a total throwback to all those amazing 80 action flicks i grew up on. its also the most awesomely violent film ive ever seen. i miss campy action flicks with gratuitous violence. you actually lalugh at how crazy some of the violece is. better than most of the action GRABAGE they try to pass off today. d/l it, there is a dvd screener out now. you will see

Oh yeah I forgot about xbox stuff one of my friends has a mac and he can't link to his 360 just because its a mac. His old xbox though that thing is badass its modded and can link up and has emulators and seriously any old school game you can think of from atari up to super nintendo. Has some emulators for n64 and playstation too but those don't work to good.

Oh shit, there's a DVD screener out for Rambo I'm on it.

dowloading for free is nice
and of course i almost did
however i read you cannot get updates or resgister with a fake serial

since MS is always so buggy it would be ridiculous not to have the newest updates. especially on my hardware drivers.

i got a free windows vista home with my latop but who needs that negro shit. i want premium. new egg gas the fatty hookup!! i got a computer manufacturar, deveopler copy for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than shit stored like best buy

My laptop had the Home Premium version of Vista, I think that's what all them at the store had.

my laptop came with Home Premium Vista.. it sucked ass so I installed XP

The problem with doing that is drivers. I guess its their way of forcing people to stay with vista. There are simply no fuctioning XP drivers for some of the new laptops that come with vista preinstalled.


oh, and to the OP. as others have said...you really did waste your money, unless your one of those few cases where vista works out ok.

Well yeah it did take me about 2 weeks to find and get all the proper drivers installed. It was a pain in the ass but it was worth it.
