Is that really true NewHunter that the stems have just as much psilocybin in them??? I've always heard rumors that the caps are superiorly potent to the stems. What is your basis for this statement experience or knowledge? Did you read it somewhere?

That report is from eremy Bigwood and Michael Beugs paper on the potency levels of twenty species collecte inthe PNW USA.

There is usually an equall proportion to the ap and stems in chemical composition. But some analysis vary somewhat.

mj. When I first collected liberty caps. I observed people eating caps in the fields and throwing away the stems.

It is not cool to get high when picking in peoples private properties for liberty caps of cubies or even for Copelandia's although many individuals do so. If high when picking can be a bummer. Especially if the law enforcement agents of the devil appear when you are high could be quite a bummer with bars in front of you.

yes, i have read and expierienced this i have tripped very hard of only eating stems from cubes. I read it in a few different guides and i have heard that with some species it may be not quite as potent but it will still get you very high. So always eat the stems

maybe people think stems are less potent because the caps are bigger, creating this sort of illusion "because it is bigger then it is more potent" optical illusion thing... not illusion, but people subconciously think it?

All I know is the stems have a 53.4% better taste than the caps, which have a TBP (Taste Bud Pleasing) Rating of 1.5 - don't you wish you could trip off steak?

one time, me and 3 friends split 2 mushrooms(big fatty dried ones). i only got the stems...and i tripped good.
