You're to eat everything; the stem and the cap. Some people think that the stem is dangerous, that it doesn't do anything, etc, but the truth of the matter is that the stem can contain as much or more active chemicals as the cap. It just depends on that certain mushroom. Definitely eat the whole thing.

Yes, weigh the whole thing. Caps and stems. Unless you don't want the stems, which I'd be happy to dispose of for you! -Bruiser

People that say eat only the caps or caps are m4x0rm0r3p0tent then the stems are idiots. I hate it when people try to tell me that. Most of em will sware it up and down like its the gospel.
In reality there is no difference in potency to cap or stem or if there is is so minor it is not noticable.
Anyways the stem for most cubenis mushrooms makes up like 75% of the weight.

What kind of mushrooms tend to have more active stems then caps? I ate stems/caps mix (mostly caps) and it was a hooked up eighth but I did shrooms from the same batch about 3 weeks later and just took one HUGE bite of one HUGE stem and tripped just as hard

Texture is the only differece, not strength.

And flavour. Caps taste much worse than stems. Especially on fresh shrooms.

I would suspect that the caps are less potent then the stems since reproduction is the main part of the cap.
But on the other hand... the little brown dot is the first thing you usually see on a baby mushroom.
I have no evidence to back up either one. Just eat em all, they both got goodies in em.
