Leaving, what to do with mushrooms??

Hey, just about 1 week ago I got a mycobag and some P cubensis B+ spores. they have been hanging out in my closet the whole time, doing not a whole lot of anything. today i got a job, and on wednesday, aug 8, i need to leave for 8 days to do some forest work, and i will be camping out. my question is, if they are not sprouting before i leave, should i do anything special (like put them in the refridgerator?), and also, would it matter if they started and i left for 8 days, is that too long to leave them? i'm a complete newbie to this and didn't anticipate this job when i started them. i just don't wan to have them be wasted cause i coudln't care for them. by the way, i do not know anyone in this town, so i can't just have someone look after them. ANY ideas on anything pertaining to this situation would be *greatly* appreciated, thank you very much :-)

If your myco bag is fully colonized and not pinning then yes you can put it in the fridge and it should be fine. If its got pins(aka baby mushrooms) then i would pickem all off before i put into fridge.

If its not fully colonized by the time you leave i would just leave it go and colonize.

hmm, ok, so it would be worth it to tear the bag open to pick little mushroomS? would they be edible or basically garbage? in which case i pull them out of the fridge in the 8 days and they pop back to life and do a 2nd flush? i'm just worried i'm gonna mess all this up....

they aren't at this moment, i injected them like 6 or 7 days ago, and nothing has happened as of yet...

You'll be quite safe leaving it alone in the closet for the time you're gone. It may be colonized by the time you get back, but certainly won't need any attention in the next 10 days MINIMUM.

my mycobag of eqs took at least 3 1/2 weeks to fully colonize then another 2 to before the first pins. i can safely say you have nothing to worry about.
