anyone know if you have to be a certain age to buy condoms in the US

like you have to be 18 to buy porn, or sex toys, or anything like that...but do condoms fall under the same laws  :confused:

no, there have been huge battles over the matter, where stores have refused to sell contraceptives to minors and there is no age restriction. i can't speak for state or other local regulations, though i doubt there are any state laws either.

it's stupid to keep condoms away from anybody who's copulating, or anybody who wants to be a rebel in the big water balloon fight.

yeah, it didn't seem like there ought to have been a law against it...but then again - look at how many other crazy ass laws we got in this country that don't make a piss of sense

I just knew that teenagers weren't allowed in porn shops, and that even in gas stations - the condoms are always behind the counter (where they keep everything else that you have to be a certain age to buy) so it seemed at least *possible* that they were regulated too

which didn't seem right to me  :what:

at least here they'll definitely sell them to you no matter what - teen pregnancy rates are always through the roof here.

like someone said, they're behind the counter at a lot of stores because people are either too cheap or too shy to pay for them so a lot get stolen when they're out in the aisles.

anywhere in the southeast coast you can buy them under 18(from northcarolina to FL). i know from personal experience, but yeah i wouldnt be surprised to find out that there are a couple of odd ball states. i heard they give you a bag full of them at health departments in upstate southcarlina where i used to live.. the only way i would see it being illegal is if a person under the age of 15 was buying them, since it is illegal for kids that are 15 to get down... in south carolina anyway.. c'mon use your head... have you ever heard of anyone getting ID'd for condoms??

I dont think there is an age to buy condoms. The US seems to make a huge deal out of safe sex, so I am pretty sure you can buy at any age.
