Women can't handle their booze

Has anybody else noticed this? A girl has four beers and she's trashed. For me four beers is just getting the night started and I'll barely feel anything. I need to do shots before I even get a decent buzz going.

Why are women so much more affected by alcohol?

I've known a woman that one night will get trashed on one drink and the next night will down several more and be fine. Women are great actors.

I dunno man...

Every chick I've hung out with that drank 6 beers was just gone.  They weren't faking it.  Six beers to tiny little me equals a decent but controllable buzz.  :shrug:

Womens bodies react different to alcohol than mens bodies.

I forget all the facts.

Mens bodies process the alcohol faster than womens.

I get pretty trashed on 4 beers. That's usually about where I cut myself off. I've also known chicks who can drink any guy under the table. It's all a matter of your tolerance.

I actually tend to be pretty sensitive to drugs in general.

You are in the minority for a man.

Yes, I have met girls who could drink like men...but they are rare. Take me and pit me against an average woman of my size and I could drink 3 times what she could easily.

I know what you mean, randal.
In my developed alcoholism i've managed to drink amounts that used to put me in the "spin zone" and puking.  Now I've got it calibrated to where I can walk and talk straight even when I might be COMPLETELY SHITFACED DRUNK. :crazy2:

This sometimes worries me, though :hehehe:

Yeah man.  The reason I brought this up was because I drank about seven beers and two shots tonight at the bar I work at while I was the sound guy for the show tonight.  I was barely buzzed.  Then I saw a girl who had about four beers and she was passed out and incoherently drunk when woken up.  :shrug:

First, women are smaller than men and have less body water than men, so women achieve higher concentrations of alcohol in the blood after drinking equivalent amounts of alcohol. Also, women's livers produce less alcohol dehydrogenase (enzyme that converts ethanol into acetaldehyde).

Sometimes I wish I was born a woman. I would save a fortune.

yeah women tend to weigh less
and it depends on the persons drinking habits
for instance Im a very skinny, small dude, plus I drink very rarely
I'd be done after 4-5 beers for sure
normally I drink just a 2 or 3 to get a good feeling

I had an ex girlfriend that was shorter then me that could drink an entire fifth of E & J to herself.
She is only 4 ft 10, and was petite.
She could handle her booze back then, but she quit drinking, last I heard.
