Which would be the easiest to do and give greatest yeilds? Fruiting P cubensis in a MycoBag or producing sclerotia from P Mexicana spores in a Philosopher's bag? Also which would be quickest? I have read on the boards that it takes some people upwards of a month to achieve full colonization??? Are they growing in less that optimum conditions???

It depends on a few factors.. viable spores, optimal growing conditions, etc. The success of Mycobags and the such, vary between person...

Ease of both is about the same. Mycobag yields are faster and can be harvested in as little as 26 days if all goes well and your cube strain is one of the fast ones. Sclerotia can take up to 3 months to be ready to harvest. There haven't been enough trials to give a reliable average yield of a philobag but mycobags yield around 1/2 ounce dry on average.

Typical problems of slow colonization in a mycobag tend to be related to the spores used. Either poor germination, low levels of bacteria in the syringe that slow the colonization or the use of a strain that doesn't fair well in a bag. Excessively high/low temperatures or an extremely dry environment will also slow colonization.
