Ultima Online is making a comeback.
The original MMORPG.. the Grand-daddy to World of Warcraft.

It's a player run shard based around the T2A (98-99) age of UO. (Pre UO:R and that bullshite!!)

They are about to upgrade to Divinity 2.0 which will bring about a bunch of good changes, fixes, and most importantly players and PvP!

I've been playing not even a week and I have two characters close to 7xGM (Thanks to the incredible macroing ability of Razor.. a prog used to run UO through)


but anyways, at least check out the site and forums

Right now the shard is peaking at 210 players online, they are expecting a lot more to come flowing in with the release of 2.0

Let it go dude, UO will never be as good as it was. Hybrid already has like 800 people at a time BTW, and even that shit sucks.

The only MMORPG I ever played. For months I was completely addicted to it, but then thankfully I got to a point where I couldn't get any further, and quit playing. If I ever get rich enough to point where I don't have to do any more work, I may start playing MMORG's again, but until then, I'll try to use my time more productively(not that posting on the Shroomery is that much more productive, but at least I can keep other programs open at the same time).

I never did play this game but always wanted to. I downloaded the client they had on their site, it's installing now. I hope this turns out to be worth my time!

Ok so I got the game all patched up, downloaded razor, connected to the Divinity server, and typed in a new username and password, and now it's been "verifying account" for the past few minutes. It shouldn't be taking this long, should it?

Ah this is what usually gets newcomers.

When you download and install the client, once you install it etc. etc. You run it and it will begin to patch itself.

Let it go for about 20min, but when you see the numbers 5.x.x.x (ex. 5.0.9.1), that's when you gotta cancel it.

Ideally, wait for 5.0.3.x and then cancel the patching... THEN run the game and you should be good to go.

It's stupid I know but it's the client the server was built for.

old news....

I'd say it is the best private server available though. I played there for about 2 years, but I just don't have time anymore. I did have a lot of fun, I kind of miss it, but not really.

its extremely addicting once you get used to it, if you haven't played it before that is.  If you have played it you already know how addicting it can be... :smirk:

I've never played it before, but I used to be addicted to WoW and a free game called Illarion, so I have a feeling if this one is as legendary as people make it out to be, I'm gunna be spending ALOOOT of time playin it.
