I've played Ultima Online since I beta-tested in 97 :smile:
I was addicted for the first 3 years maybe - now I just play off and on due to the fact Ultima's head people all suddenly sold out...

Everquest sucked
WoW sucked
Diablo 2 was ok for about 2 weeks online - then it got old.

Meh, Penny arcad has done a few good Ultima Online mockery cartoons as well as Diablo 2 - Funny shit every time I see them making fun of an online game. Good Satire - reminds me of oldschool mad stuff :thumbup:

i was totally addicted to evercrack for like 3 years. i tried to play it again last year for the first time in awhile, but i couldn't get myself back into it. it's lost its luster.

Man I saw a friend the other night who I hadn't seen in probably half a year or something.

All he does is play stupid World of Warcraft. He's such a fucking nerd now... he was always sort of a nerd... but now it's just ridiculously pathetic.

For 5 years of my life EverQuest was by far the most important thing in my life. I'm not even glad i don't play MMOs any more, just none of them come even close to EQ1 for me. I could play that game 10 hours a day and every minute would be more fun than anything else I've known in life.

I played from when i was 12 to when i was 17, that might have something to do with why I got so into it.

Yeah, I played UO from 97 and I still play on a free-shard about once a month or so....Fuck paying for it - and besides the money issue the game has turned into bright colored swords and armor bullshit :/

I betad Everquest and did get down on it briefly - but where I was such a militant UO for for a few years I quit playing after the Beta...

WoW just completely sucked and I haven't played it once - not even for 40 seconds..

I said earlier I play UO about once a month - but that really consists of refreshing my house and saying hi - about 5 minutes worth of work.

When your a kid these games are fun but when you get to a certain level of maturity you realize you could be out getting laid or actually living a REAL life :smile:

More power to anyone still playing though - nothing wrong with the shit in moderation or if you simply have nothing else to do...Wich I don't, I'm just tired of the same game after 8-9 years of playing it :/

MMO's were my anti-drug, but then I was far more addicted to a much worse device.

I had to smoke tons of weed to ween myself off MMOs, weed is my anti-MMO.

Fuck dude, I replaced my MMO habit with drugs too. I could toss out some stats that are just sad. Are you ready for the final hoorah in my MMO addiction? This was last Christmas. Not even a year ago, I told myself I'm not gonna buy WoW. I played the beta, and it was fun as shit. Not gonna buy it.

WELL, Christmas break comes along, and I get home. FIRST thing I do is go buy WoW. I don't even think about it. Just got in my car, left, and bought it. Had to go to 3 different stores.

Here's the shameful part. My Christmas break was Dec. 10 to Jan 10. 30 days. My PLAYTIME, at the end of 30 days, was 15 days. What a joke.
