Wow, epic bump indeed. But i'm glad, I never knew about this. Posting now so I can come back for instructions later. I've always wanted to try UO.

Holy cow.  I've seen some bumps in my time, but this one is pretty awesome!

1- The thread was over 8 years old
2- The bump wasn't intended solely for the purpose of bumping an old thread..the poster was serious
3- The thread is about online gaming
4- Who the fuck believes that an online gaming thread is relevant after 8 years!

I'm downloading the UOSA client right now. I think I'll give it a whirl, just for old time's sake. Psilyguy: get this one and if we're on the same shard and I'll give you tips. It a fun game, just don't expect the graphics to knock your eyes out.

roll with me I'll hook you up, I'll show you the ropes in pvp that way when you get your tank mage skills up youll be a little more rdy to own.

make an account on forums and get in the IRC channel, lots of people in there

Wow, this is genuinely indubitably astonishing to see this thread bumped after all this time. Truly amazing.. so much so in fact, that I was inspired to start playing again after 8 long years.

I would greatly appreciate anyone who reads this and signs up. I can help them out with questions with and about the game, as well as hook them up with some good items to get things going. I'm also part of the 2nd largest guild on the shard, which is advantageous.

Anyways, I'm on the ABCUO shard.

Here are instructions on howto get and play UO for free, as well as how to connect to ABCUO, one of the highest ranking shards, and the one I play on.

** MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO A 'T' **

STEP ONE:

Click here to Download & Connectto the client.

-Make sure to follow the instructions. You do have the option of using either the Classic or the Enhanced client. They are both available for download on the webpage. But a majority of people use the classic client, especially because razor works with it, and razor is not compatible with the Enhanced client.
With either one; be sure to enter the correct PORT & SERVER

Me and some of my buddies used to play this hardcore back in the day, i still log in to UOgamers every now and then, but its not the same as the heyday.

ultima 7 part 1 and 2 as well as 8 are my favorate games ever.

not only were they the best RPGs of their days with a crazy rich story and environment, but the philosophic themes in it are totally profound.
