mycelium!

My question is about mycelium. I have some that is gowing some really rizomorphic strands, up through the casing layer, for about 1/2 in to 3/4 in above the soil. Around the strands that are gowing(lots and lots of them) there is fluffy, white mycelium. Does that sound like it is doing okay? Opinions?Help?
