Fresh or Dry......

Which route do you all go?? Do fresh mushies taste better than dried ones, or is it the other way around?? Potency is the same if you dry them correctly, but what are the differences??

i usually dry. However fresh ones imo taste alot better. I don't mind the taste of dried ones either. As for potency, it matters the way you dry it. If using heat, its going be different. If using a fan and then dry chamber... it may loss some potency, would be very hard to tell. So just dry your shrooms with no heat, keeping them fresh for a long period of time is pretty hard.

I think that fresh taste a bit better but both suck. I grind and mix with OJ and it's the best method I have tried!

Freshest is bestest.They're easier to chew,easier to blenderize,plus they have more "zing"! If the taste bothers you,blending 'em in juice is great,if you don't mind blasting off like a rocket in a few minutes.


It seems most people think of doses as "x gms of dried shrooms".With freshies it seems more natural to just eyeball it.I'm not sure if that's a plus or a minus.....

Fresh are definitely better tastewise. Dip 'em in a little ranch dressing and away you go!

I've got three shroom trips under my belt now. My first time I tripped off dry home grown shrooms and I thought they tasted pretty damn good. The last two times I tripped off fresh shrooms I picked myself in a field. I have to say dry one's agree with my taste buds better, but I prefer them to be fresh. I like to chew them (fresh) for a while and then wash down the slurpy chunky goo with a bit of orange juice. mmm mm mmmmmmmmmmmmmm =)

With freshy's it's not so much the taste but the texture that gets me.
