how much would 30 grams fresh dry to?

if i buy 30 grams of fresh cubensis shrooms and dry them out what weight of dried shrooms would i end up with approximately? also what is the best way to dry them?

2.3-2.7 grams is my guess...it really depends how they were grown and even what strain and each particular shroom...but i bet my estimate is pretty close. Food dehydrator with the heat turned down or disconnected would be your best bet, fan dry works...dessicant added is better. Read the FAQ's and you'll find more details.

Typically everyone says that a mushroom will dry down to 10% of the original weight . . . but that can be misleading. Like PDU says, a lot has to do with the way they were grown and sometimes even the strain.

I find it fluxuates anywhere from 8% to 12%. So I would guesstimate anywhere from 2.4 to 3.5 grams.
