So is it really that dangerous to not go on a safe diet pre drinking brew? I was wondering because well I don't want to die.

If you don't diet you won't die. On the other hand the experience may be so uncomfortable that you will wish you were dead.

Contraindicated drugs are the real danger with aya and analogues.
From what I understand, the harmine and harmaline in ayahuasca and syrian rue have weaker MAOI effects than most drugs with MAOI activity, taking into account the pharmaceutical MAOIs used to treat depresseion, etc.
These stronger MAOIs sometimes require a strict diet to avoid digesting somewhat dangerous compounds in the everyday diet.
Ayahuasca'a MAOIs will block the enzymes in your stomach that usually destroy DMT and block the enzymes that (partially) prevent the digestion of tyramine, which is commonly in the diet.
When you absorb too much tyramine, you can get a splitting headache lasting for a couple of days (from what I have read and experienced). But this isn't really a big danger to you.
If you drink ayahuasca every day, and keep your every day diet, you will accumulate tyramine in your body which eventually could have a dangerous effect.
This is from memory, so I may have gotten a couple of facts wrong. But the jist of the matter is that you won't die, you might get a headache if you eat a lot of crappy food, and if you become an ayahuasca shaman without first addressing the problem of diet, you may eventually die.
And as I'm sure you know, don't take any other drugs with it!
Have a good journey with this most respected of plant teachers.

I just dont wanna go on some sorta crazy vegan diet for 2 weeks pre drinking the brew. I know not to mix any drugs with it. I just feel like I need my meat and stuff to live.
Also is coffee bad to consume normally before a brew session? I hear caffeine can do you in if there is to much in you with the brew.
Basically what I am trying to say is, if I live my life and eat like normal and then drink brew, will it be bad for me compared to if I went on a suggested 2 week pre brew diet.

it really doesn't matter that you eat meat, just don't eat any the day of the trip. it's easiest to not eat anything, or just breakfast if you're going to trip later in the day
it shouldn't be that much of an inconvenience to eat bread, fruit and cereal the day of your trip. I haven't had a bad reaction yet but recommend that you drink tea rather than coffee if you want caffeine, a splitting headache would really suck on ayahuasca they day before does not matter at all, ime

Yea im fine with fasting for 24 hours pre drinking the brew, I have just seen a few articles were they say you should watch what you eat for 2 weeks or so. Things such as caffeine or cheese or bananas. Thanks for the info people.

2 weeks is bullshit. You only need one day of prep. And the only really common foods that are to be avoided are cheeses and beer I believe. And also many drugs so be careful about that if you are on meds. But definitely don't take my word for it, do the research...
And from what I know, even if you did consume said foods in moderate quantity you'd still probably be OK. But why risk it. The last thing you need to have on your mind during an Ayahuasca trip is whether you are going to have serious health concerns during the trip.
