In the following few weeks I have several interviews for a position (as an undergrad) at several prestigious universities... I intend to do a Masters degree in Chemcial Physics (interdisciplinary sciences ftw).
I've never really had a formal interview before, and because these places are quite prestigious I'm not sure how to prepare myself...
Obviously I'm going to tie my long hippie hair back (and wash it ) and have a shave, wear nice clothes and all that jazz, but other than my physical presentation what else should I do to improve my chances of acceptance?
I have absolutely no idea what to expect, and this is a course I really want to study (and only a few places in this country offer it).
If anyone has any previous experience / suggestions etc I would greatly appreciate it

learn about the place ur going, what u wanna do etc before hand, rehearse such questions as
1) why do you want to be here
2) what do you want to do in the future
3) why the should accept YOU
*act* smart and confiden, smile lots shake hands introduce your self,
this is kind of more for a job interview but could work

Make sure you show your interest in the program. Ask questions about it such as the history of the program, what its strong points are, faculty research, and how it places its students in employment after graduation.

What do they know about you already? They'll ask you about your general interests, any previous job or life experiences which have got you to this point. They will also ask you about where you want to end up, where you see yourself in 5 years etc.
The good thing is that they realize your applying to be an undergrad, so they won't be too hard on you.
