Are you officially accepted to law school or not?

A brief internship and/or experience at a law firm might make you a more attractive candidate than adding a minor to your degree.

not yet accepted, however i make good money where im at and all they offer is unpaid or low paying paralegal work. I need the $ coming in, and have 0 time for extra shit cuz of the job. I got offered a few jobs for different lawyers, but they dont pay shit until after ur first year of law school. even then, i might be able to work my current job again at that point and still make more than the l1's that land summer jobs/internships. Although at that point the experience would be more important.

Holy shit what you guys pay for schooling... :O
I pay 568 euros for one year in university, excluding books and housing. I can get subsidized because we've got a big family (only 4 children already makes it a big one lol), making it 80 euros a year. (again excluding books and housing.) The housing is anywhere from 100 - 350. I'm paying 100 a month since I'm at the university campus, 350 is about the most someone renting out a room in his house can ask.

Why does all of this cost so much overthere?

My 4 year degree only cost about ~15k.  Thats before any grants that often come.

Well, i made my decision. Im going to take a full load all year and graduate with my minor in sociology. I have 10 credits left in it, of which i have a senior sociology req. class, 1 soft ball elective class, and a senior research methods class that i could probably teach.

I guess im doing it for the title really, but it will be a lot nicer to have a minor to talk about on my law school essays. They say apply to 7 schools:2 that you prolly wont get in, 3 that you could get in, and 2 more as a fall back plan. They all want at least two essays so 7x2 = 14 two-three page essays i need to write in the next 10 weeks :crankey: + getting my reference letters in order(huge.)


Wish me luck, as of now i am off booze and drugs till i ace the LSAT. FML
