my girlfriend has a weird hangup

for some reason my girl gets really upset when I put milk in in cereal. She calls this "mixing the food", as if these two foods are not supposed to go together.

So like, if we're chillin on the couch and I go and get a bowl of cereal n milk from the kitchen, then sit back down on the couch with her, she'll be like: "EEEEEEEWWWWWW, gross you're mixing the food OMFG!!!" And then run out of the room until I'm done eating.

Apparently 'mixing the food' applies to other things too, like chocolate sauce and milk, and some other examples I can't remember. Anyone else feel this way? Are there other people who get weirded out by this or is my gf just an isolated nutjob?

Nutjob! What the fuck else are you supposed to put in there?
Does she eat muffins, cakes or any sort of patry? Alot of milk and egs go into those....that would be "mixing as well?

Does she wait for her vegetables to digest before she eats bread
or something else with them? I would think they would get "mixed" as well in her belly.

I don't know, guess I am just lucky, my GF just hates when
I chew gum. I could piss on the living room floor and she would be like "Nice"!

i could understand if you were eating ketchup and carrots or something but milk and cereal go together like tits and booze. Your lady is crazy. Tell her to call me.

I know, right. I've put forth all those arguments to her you know, like bread is milk and flour cooked together; it all goes to the same place when you digest it, etc.

Her aversion is obviously illogical and compulsory. She can't logically justify it, its one of those irrational obsessions. When she gets home I'll try to get her to explain it to me again, because her explanation of it is so illogical its hilarious.

Also, her family is the same way. They eat their cereal dry.

yeah, she thinks nachos are gross, too.

I'm gonna show her this thread when she gets home from class.  That way she can see her little hangup is NOT NORMAL.  I need as many people as possible to come forward and say that this fear of wet cereal is totally whacko, so she can see how strange it is to the man on the street.

I don't like the taste of the milk at the bottom of the bowl but that different entirely.

Does she feel this way about any food:
gravy/butter/sour cream on potatoes
ketchup/gravy on fries
marshmallows in hot chocolate
stuffing in turkey
sauce on pasta

I'm in the south, no reason to drink hot chocolate ever

pretty sure she likes that

I'm not saying she doesn't like any food thats mixed, there are just certain combos that most people would think of as normal that she can't even stand to be around.
