Psylosymon:

It's funny that you mention subbalteatus - when I lived in CA, there was a city park where what I suspected was subbalteatus grew frequently.

I never got up the nerve to start chompin' on any! I'm older and wiser now, and maybe even a little bit more brave.

Subbalteatus always intrigued me. I have seen them referred to as a psychedelic "weed" - occurring in large quantities, and having a vast range.

In regard to Stuntzi's, I have heard tales of gregarious quantities popping up on lawns....is this really true? Stuntzi is (according to Mushrooms Demystified) very prevalent in our area, though I have never had the good fortune to see them personally.

I haven't stopped looking in lawns, mulch, and forests for about 16 years - I must never be in the right place at the right time.....lol.

I'll keep my eyes peeled. Thanks for the tip!

Where are you in Washington? I'm a seattlite, and a father and too have a renewed interest in the magic fruit.

Welcome borgeler! You're living in a great area for shrooms, not really for cubensis but we got almost everything else!

If you ever come up to the Vancouver, Canada area, make sure to check out Mt. Elphie for shrooms.
