First successfull STUNTZII find in WASHINGTON STATE
    #1993090 - 10/09/03 01:37 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

I found lots of these little guys today (around 100). Hunting mostly around neighboorhoods with stoich grass, and good water content. The only thing I hate about hunting in neighboorhoods is people stare at you, and either they know what your doing and disaprove of it, or they have no clue what you are doing and imagine your a crazy person. These little mushrooms sure look magic

nice pictures, I really like the first one with the top view of the caps. I took a similar photo of a cyan last year (the picture in my avatar) yeah so good job. I have never found blue ringers before, they look tasty

I know exactly what you mean man. Whenever I'm huntin in neighborhoods, the man just stares. I believe they think we're just plain old crazy. Excellent pics.

Nice work W9!  Great pics too, I don't see ringers too often over here...

What species is next on the find list?

Good hunting,

Definatly Cyans. I really want to find some of those. This is my first fall season mushroom hunting and im doing good so far so well see what happens. I also might take a trip down to the northwest oregon coastal region and try to find some azures! That would definatly be worthwhile.

Quite a bit more yellow than cyans.

A few days ago I found a good patch of about 20 blue ringers on some mulch! Next stop cyans

Good find

Have you checked out the gathering info for a meeting in Astoria in November? If not, check it out in the Gathering forum.
