hell yeah it is! we just started a three story house yesterday. five weeks to finish it. it's gonna get a whoopin'. i salvaged many hundreds of feet of oak flooring with a crowbar today.

you're a line cook (& now bartender), right?

well i was offered a position as line cook at the restaurant i was already working at as a backwait, but doing both bartending and backwaiting has me working 25-30 hrs a week on top of being a full-time student, so i couldn't accept the cook position.

i'm quite stoked about the bartending though. i'm still young, just turned 21 in august, so i'm getting an early start, learning all the proper cocktails and whatnot, expanding my knowledge of wines, which go with what food and the like. it's good stuff.

you're right about the bartending. you're gonna learn all sorts of interesting, badass stuff. i made a bartender invent a shot last friday: the velcro! it's 82% whiskey (dictated by me), 7up, and butterscotch. deliciouso

hahaha... 82%

i'll have to give that one a try. i haven't really made many shooters because i'm only dinner bartending right now. so it's mainly dinnertime drinks like martinis, mojitos, manhattans, cosmos, margaritas. that or just like scotch on the rocks or gin and tonic or simple things like that.

I would beg them to let me keep my job. I fuckin love my job. I get paid 7.50 an hour (I'm still sorta new there) at Petsmart to play with dogs in "Doggy Day Camp". And seein as how i love animals, its wonderful.

I remember my boss was trying to make me lick her ring to keep my job,
I just said ' Look I don't really give a shit and I'm not licking anyones asshole, let alone yours' She started going mad I just laughed in her face and said 'bye'

Man they take that shit so seriouse! I had a new job within a week that I enjoy more. Some people think they fuckin own you - if they treat me like that I will just tell em to fuck off and show em up as to how pathetic they actually are.

Haha, well I did get "fired" from my job working as a phone PC tech.

I was sitting on a call when a TS walked up to my desk, carrying a folder. I knew why he was there (I had said some things to the Site Admin that almost ensured I would get fired). I get done my call and:

Him: "How was that call, Trendal?"
Me: "Easy, XYZ was broken on their machine."
Him: "Hmm. Well...I'm going to have to ask you to come down to HR with me."
(at this point all my friends around me are listening in - they know whats up too)
Me: "Really? Can I just go home now? We both know what this is about..."
Him: "Ha! Well why don't you come down and maker it official."

I should note here that he was ok...just a TS. No real power in the company. I should also note that while this had happened on wednesday, the previous monday I had handed in my resignation..effective in two weeks.

Anyway we get to HR...

Him: "Well the Site Admin doesn't want you on the property anymore...but we can't 'fire' you because you already quit."

I laugh.

Him: "So we're going to do the only thing we can to get you off the premises. We send you home now...and we'll still pay you your regular wage for the remainder of the two weeks. Sound good?"

I laugh again, longer this time.

Me: "Damn! Well you just made my day! Show me where to sign."

I walked out of that place feeling like a million bucks!

"You people have terrible communication skills. And you're expanding way too rapidly and forgetting that your staff is where it all starts and when you don't keep them happy and you work them overtime without paying them overtime, you engender a lot of ill will towards you, The Higher Ups. You run a really cool business but you're getting really corporate really fast and it sucks."
