Naw that's not cruel at all. Then the IT guys will just come and re-image the drive. Doesn't take them long, trust me
But I've got nothing against the IT department, they're good people.

I think that would also put a serious damper on my hopes of getting a girlfriend in the near future
It's not the people I work WITH that is the problem. It's the company itself, and the management.

Well just one thing: Aren't you a bit concerned about how this will look on your resume?
I sort of get the picture in my head that [even in Canada] employers generally want people with a good track-record of maintaining job positions...
Either way, good luck!

i think coming into work with alcohol on your breath would soon get you fired at any job. Hmmm... I might just try this if i ever feel rich. I'd collect unemployment and go to school to lengthen the time period i get paid. peace

No, not really concerned at all.
I've never really cared about a resume in the first place, but I would probably leave this job off my resume if I was ever trying to get a job that it would hinder

I don't know if you've ever worked at a call center, but it takes a lot of non showering to stand out in that crowd.

Lol..you aren't being a total ass to all the callers are you? Not everyone deserves to be dicked around. Some people call with legitimate questions and aren't rude.
Don't be a total douche..
But if you get one that is a douche, start asking them computer questions. If they are like "I can't install Office.." be like "What is Office?" and that'll probably piss them off BAD.
But don't do it to nice people..that's just mean. Be mean to your boss, not the callers.

Working at a call center definitately has it's good and bad times. Some things that are autofail on call monitors would be something like not giving a long distance disclaimer, bad mouthing the company, and blatantly dropping the customer. Mwahaha. Sounds like you've been having a pretty fun time.
Every once in a while I slip in something nice and stupid. Heard the wisper tone one day and noticed someone was being transferred to me, usually from some dumbass indian tech...
"Thank you for calling MSN my name's Duwat" ".. Duwat?" "Peanut??" "Uhhh... dear lord I hope you're not from India" "I'm from Canada, sir." "...." "I'm on the same continent as you, sir. Think of Canada as your little brother" "...." ".... name and number on your account, okay?" "...."
I checked out the ticket history for the dumbass and it turns out he phones just about every single day and ends up hanging up on every one. A senior agent told me that something as little as making up a name could get you fired where I work. Pfff.. stupid.
Another time I just totally dissed a customer. He was a total elitist bastard, had phone about 10 times a day for the past week and argued with every tech. I took a look at his notes and braced myself, I was going to be totally contradicting and "pwn" his nerdy ass... and I did, harsh. Some servers are down at MSN right now and people are experiencing random errors at hotmail. This bugger starts sputtering off his life story and how he spends over 10 hours a day sending email, and about a total of 16 hours on his computer all together. I told him very comically that there's other fruits in life that do not revolve around a computer, and if he was so smart he could have created a sub account as he told me he doesn't care about the address, he just needs to send mail or he'll go insane. I can't post what I say on that call verbatim but damn was it ever hilarious. I had a stupid grin from ear to ear, snapping back something every time the customer said to me and damn was it ever smooth. He even came out to admit he thought I'd be another dumbass reading call scripts and information off my computer screen and eventually said he'd go outside for a walk and get some fresh air. LMAO I really wish I had the call record to post on here. Lots of funny calls. It's the main contributing factor that I still work at a call center, and strangly enough I love it.
