maitake mycelium?

I put some tissue samples of store bought maitake onto a couple of plates of peroxidated MEA a week or more ago.
I'm starting to get some sign of *something* growing now. It's very wispy almost colourless and is only vaguely linear, kind of wiggly looking for want of a better description.
Is this what maitake mycelium looks like initially, or have I just grown some sort of contam?
I'd post a photo, but there's no way this stuff would show up, it's so colourless.

never mind, 3 days later and I'm pretty sure that what I'm looking at is maitake mycelium and not a contam
