There isn't going to be a show in my state and I'm not too happy about that. The last tool show i went to was awesome. It was on 5/6/7, weird. But i bet this next tour will be the full-blown mind fuck of visual distractions like the last bit of the 2002 tour. If any of you went to those shows with the Alex Grey screens and the two parabola balls floating. Especially if you were lucky enough to get to see/hear D/R/T. I guess what i am trying to say is congrats if you get your tickets for face value and if you don't do whatever you have to in order to get the money they cost on ebay or elsewhere. it will be worth the effort. Damn, i might just go to the vegas show if i can get a second job for a few months. lol.
Are you going to see them?
You may choose only one

I dont think this next tour will be any different than the recent tool tours just with slight exceptions.
When Tool toured for Lateralus, there were 2 distinct versions of the tour... the 1st with the 2 big screens and Osseus Labyrant doing live contortionism, and the 2nd with the alex grey backdrops. which they largely revamped.

on 10K Days tours, first there was the string of small venues and large festivals with the 4 projections screens behind the band.
then they did their first tour with the big lasers and the christmas light looking LEDs strung up in the fashion that simulates the 10KDays Cover painting.
then they added some more video screen footage and a new backdrop of the 10K Days painting instead of the christmas lights.

I have tickets to see them in Austin even though i live in Dallas.
I knew i had to get tickets to that show because it will be their last tour until their new album comes out, and my last chance to see them in a while.

This will be my 6th time to see them.
4th time on the 10K Days tours.
I cant wait.

Im not expecting much different.
Just hopefullly some unexpected songs.
Something cool from Undertow.
Or H, Pushit, or Jimmy. Those are the only three from Aenima that i havent seen live besides Third Eye... but FAT FAT chance that theyll play Third Eye live anytime soon.

If youre thinking about going, the GO!
Youll regret it when the next time they tour is January 2013.

I'm still hopeful that they will come back around the US for another full blown tour in 2008. I have gone to every show i have been able to go to since 2002. I even paid 350$ for a single ticket for one of the small venue shows in spring of 2006 - amazing show. But it's good to see another shroomerite is going to a show. Have fun and be safe out there.
