TOOL while tripping?

I really enjoy tools music but i have never tried listening to them while tripping. I have heard from many that it can be bad trip inducing, but i guess it depends on the person. Also, everyone should checkout their video for parabola, its 10 mins long and its crazy. It starts out kind of dark and evil but the end is insane!What have been your experiences while tripping and listening to Tool?

Danny (drummer for Tool) recommends
studying the schematic for Solomon's temple
and working the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram w/ Enochian calls
before listening to Lateralus in the entheogenic state.

I will testify that tripping with TOOL is very intense and will pull alot of emotions out of you whether you want them there or not. (though I guess that is the psychedlic experience in itself)

If you're feeling adventurous go for it.

I remember something about the Lateralus album being designed to summon a "daemon" if you play it straight from the beginning to end. If so, I can see why a LBRP is in store...whether or not it is a real entity or a symbolic archetype that is projected from the subconscious. I'm willing to bet it's PAIMON...but I'm not sure.

Tool is a group that draws it's artistry from a degree of emotional involvement that is so powerful (and often negative), that it creates this certain detachment from feeling, a sort of self-dejection. It's this mood that permeates Maynard's flatly aggitated music and surreal video pictures. I suppose it could also be said that it's this basic stemming point which attracts today's high-school herds of emotionally subdued youth.

Psychedelic drugs tend to be connecting drugs, boundry dissolving drugs, drugs that put us more in touch with feeling, while simutaneously backing us with a measurable factor of accomodating psychological flexibility.

Combining the two, I believe, is foolosh like mixing water and oil. Undesirabe results come forward.

Personally, I feel that all of this talk of Solomon's temple and Daemon/Demon summoning albums has less to do with any sort of advice or intent, and more to do with boosting record sales.

i took 15 grams of amanita at a tool concert, lateralus tour. it was a really dark, beautiful trip... the only "bad" part, was whe i was staring at the clouds, and they started writing messages to me, i looked away because i was afraid it was going to tell me when i would die or some messed up shit.

tripping on acid, any tool is amazing, you definatly need an open mind to tolerate it because of tools sinister undertones, but its still amazing.

A friend of mine once listened to TOOL while tripping...... he thought that it was ABSOLUTELY amazing...... no bad feelings what so ever...... made the trip a lot more enjoyable actually.... or so he says.....
