And found all sorts of interesting things. I have about 6-7 different species, that I have brought here for the available shroom guru.
Just a cool translucent looking mushroom.
Species #1
Habitat: Woods - Found in grass/dirt with a lot of fallen pines and leaves. Gills: the gills are white / tan Stem: around qtr ti half an inch. white Cap: tan to white or visa versa Spore print color: being made Bruising: none observed Location: Washington
Species #2
Habitat: On a small stick with a small amount of moss hanging over a creek. We had to pull some acrobatics to obtain this one. Gills: the gills are white and slightly brown. I think, hard to tell Stem: small and just white, with some greys Cap: brown to tan then white, attached at one point in time. Spore print color: being made Bruising: none observed Location: Washington
Species #3
Habitat: Woods - Found in grass/dirt with a lot of fallen pines and leaves. Gills: the gills are white / dark Stem: brown with some white hairy stuff going up it Cap: white tan brown white. Spore print color: being made Bruising: none observed Location: Washington
Species #4
Habitat: Woods - Found in grass/dirt with a lot of fallen pines and leaves. Gills: the gills are white / dark Stem: brown with some white hairy stuff going up it Cap: white tan brown white. Spore print color: being made Bruising: none observed Location: Washington
Species #5
I'm hoping this is the good stuff, as it is very near and abundant.
Habitat: Woods - Found in grass/dirt with a lot of fallen pines and leaves. Very wet Gills: the gills are white / tan. attached at one point Stem: brown with some white hairy stuff going up it Cap: brown tan brown white. Spore print color: hard to see at this point. But mostly black sorde brown purple Bruising: none observed Location: Washington
Species #6
Its at a time like these that i wish i had a bigger lens.
Habitat: Woods - High in the tree. Didnt move other then the 360 turn of the head. Gills: no gills Stem: some feathers Cap: more feathers Spore print color: N/A Bruising: none observed Location: Washington

hmmm...lots of nice mushrooms there. Species 1 looks to be hyphloma fasiculare. Species 5 is not active, maybe some type of lepiota. The others appear to be inedible as well.

None are active.
Species #5 is an Armillaria species. It might be edible, but you need to wait for a more experienced ID, some armillaria will make you sick.

Species #2 looks like some kind of honey mushroom, I believe there edible but unatcive.
But as always, get a 100% ID before consumption.
Keep hunting my friend.

1) Hypholoma fasciculare 2) Too young to see what they are. Probably Armillaria. 3) Armillaria 4) Could be a Stropharia or Psathyrella 5) Could be Collybia, Clitocybe, or an omphalinoid species.

There are a couple hundred species that contain psilocybin, they are not one of those species.
