I might want to try this, I know it'll be pretty hard but I'm concerned if it will effect my health in anyway. I did it for about a week last year, I felt pretty weird being up pretty much 24/7 it's like I was immortal....Eventually I got sick of it and slept for like 30 hours straight.
Any help would be helpful

well Alion, I didn't have a "set" cycle like most of those stories said. that never worked for me. all I did was set 2 online alarms which were set for 30 minutes (When I got tired) Sometimes I took only 2 naps a day, other times I took 4.... .when I started my Polyphasic sleep I pulled an all nighter and started the naps at like 3 am the next day.
Lasted a little over a week, then I just got sick of it....No motivation to continue, but now I have more motivation because I have my own business online. If I did this, my money would roll in like crazy if I can pull it off for a month or whatever.
I will try it and tell you the results tomorrow.. ;O
Oh yeah, by the way, when I did this for the entire week my dreams were crazy and vivid.

I hear it takes a few weeks for your body to adjust to the cycle. Also, I think it's important to actually follow a cycle consistently. Furthermore, polyphasic sleep is generally used most effectively by individual who are already highly motivated, and need the extra time it provides. Good luck though.

your cells will get weaker, instead of being built to withstand a 12 hour day, they will change for your half hour days

I have no experience in polyphasic sleeping, just read a couple of articles on it, but I would think that a consistent sleep cycle would be very important. I would also imagine that eating healthy will greatly improve your success. Eat small well balanced meals throughout the day. I would stay away from sugars and caffeine. Sugars also include fruits or fruit juices. Not that you should not eat fruit or drink fruit juice but just don't over indulge, and I would mix fruit juice with water if you were to do this. That may be rather extreme to change your diet for this, but one could also argue polyphasic sleeping is extreme as well.
