Woken up at 2 pm for the past 2 weeks.
I work from 4pm-1am mon-fri.
Ive been to the gym once. Everyday at work I tell myself im gonna wake up earlier, have a nice breakfast, take the dog for a walk, go to the gym, and then go to work with a smile.
Now, even when I feel I can get up at around 10 am, I just flop back on the bed and I dont fuckin get up. I start dreaming and this is all I do. I get anywhere from 10-12 hours sleep. I could be doing so much more.
I feel like a fuckin loser now and I dont know what to do.
I know I will tell myself later that I will not repeat what I did earlier the next day, but for some reason I know I will. Am i tyring to escape reality?? I dont know... Its not like I have a problem wih it, in fact I love the waking life and fuckin doing things, yet when I wake up I always choose to dream.
WHY DO I KEEP CHOOSING SLEEP OVER LIFE!??!!
AHHH!!

I have a similar problem a lot fo the time. I will usually sleep 9-10 hours, sometimes 12 or more, and it's awful. I just can not wake up on less than 9 hours most of the time. I hate it. I want like 6-7 hours of sleep to be enough.

I had this problem a few times.
If you want to go the drug route, I found melatonin very helpful in resetting my circadian rhythym. People use it to help with jet lag too. I took 300mcg 20 minutes before I got in bed for a week and it worked great for me. I always wake up 7-8 hours after I take it. Gives you some crazy dreams too and doesn't seem to be habit forming to me.
As for the natural route, don't read in bed, don't do anything in or on your bed except sleep or fuck, and eat healthily. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and no fast food. Cut back on the caffeine if you drink a lot of coffee/red bull/whatever. I find if I drink a lot of coffee during the day I'm crashing really hard by the time I wake up, then I just want to stay in bed. Caffeine's average half life in the human body is 6 hours, so it takes a long time to get completely metabolized. I try not to drink coffee after 3pm.
Hope something in there helps you out!

Yea, see if theres nothing actualy forcing me to get up (like work, or simple things that MUST be done), then I wont get up.
I wish I could just throw a bucket of water on myself or something.
That Melatonin stuff sounds cool tho maybe ill cehck it out if my body keeps telling me to stay in bed.

If you're a regular smoker then you could try cutting back on the herb... i find that when i have a smoke i'll do anything for a few more hours in bed the next day. I was shocked at how much easier it was to get my ass up when i stopped smokin out every day...
