Stinkhorns!

There's a ton of well-sheltered mulch outside one of the local universities here. These caught hatta's eye the other day so he took me out and showed me this cluster of stinkhorns. I did some research and it looks like they may be Mutinus caninus.

Very wise decision.
Maybe you can find some eggs and plant them in an unsuspecting victims indoor plant.

Aw.
Well they look very cool, almost like some exhaust pipe for the earth. What's the reflective material near the top of the fungi? An odd shaped cap?

The reflective stuff is the spores in a suspension fluid, flies eat this stuff and the spore goo attaches to their legs as a method of spore dispersal

That's a pretty awesome way of propagating your species.

I thought that he was referring to a South Park episode, when the fourth graders showed Stan how to jerk his dog off. While he was doing that act on his dog he would say, "Red rocket Sparky. Red rocket."

It is a South Park episode, where they jack off a dog. I haven't seen the episode, only heard of it.
