I'm making some cheap bottle mead.

I mean, I don't expect this to be anywhere near fine wine but it's my first foray into wine making so I wanted to do the cheap and easy thing starting out. Anyone know of any way to bottle this stuff once it's done without wine bottles and a cork? I don't want to spend much money yet if I don't have to.

buy a 6pack of beer and keep the bottles. throw em in dish washer and use no, or little dishwasher soap.
if you search my posts you shouldl find a recipe for a good blueberry mead.
really all you do is make mead and throw a bag of blueberrys in their during fermentation.
also i highly recommend lalvin yeast, like a dollar at homebrew store.

you can buy a capper and beer bottle caps for maybe $10-20 total.
edit: oh and i HIGHLY recommend buying oak cubes to throw in their also. It is one of the biggest things seperating good wine from crappy.
and your better off just doing it right the first time rather than going cheap. otherwise your setting yourself up for disapointment.
you will need a fermentation vessel, look for apple juice containers(glass perfered), plastic will work. Get yourself a rubber stopper and a airlock.

Oh, okay. Well, I've already kind of started it and I was thinking a balloon with some holes poked in it would work okay. I guess if this absolutely fails than I know how to do it better the next time.

I just clean milk jugs out with bleach and then dishwashing soap and loosen then tighten the cap every day to let air out (trying to loosen it just enough so no air gets in). I'm sure the balloon thing will work fine.
