I thought my dishwasher could handle it!!! Shit...
    #2461134 - 03/22/04 07:26 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I put a tray that had still had some verm and coca coir in my dishwasher.  I really didn't think it was going to be that big of a deal.  I thought, "Hey, its the modern age.  Its only dirt.  My dishwasher could handle it".

Well, I was wrong.  My dishwasher is NOT handling it at all!

My sink is flooded with black water bubbling up through the pipes that are connected to the dishwasher.  I'm getting just a tad bit concerned...

Does this mean my dishwasher tubes are clogged??  I'm hoping maybe the situation will absolve itself.

Actually, right about after I wrote this post I went and stuck a long-stemmed spoon down the sink drain. It made a disgusting gurgle and then it started to drain. I just hope I didn't ruin my dishwasher/pipes or dishes.

Generally there is a plastic tube that goes from the dishwasher to the non garbage disposal side of the sink. Id check too see if that drains as well as the sink. Some drain cleaner might be in order if things dont start to flow.

i forgot how this happened, but my dads friend was changing in our bathroom and something was messed up with the pipes and when someone used the water, water in the bathroom shot out of the toilet and soaked him. so pretty much a bunch of water burst out of the toilet...we heard him scream and he came out soaking and the bathroom was soaked, it was hilarious. It was pretty loud too.

one time i decided it would be ok to use liquid dishwshing soap (like you hand was with) in my dishwasher. NOT a good idea. my kitchen floor was filled with suds, like a cartoon... i was about knee deep in bubles. never do that again.

You know what?  I've done that too.   I don't exactly have good relationships with my household appliances.  :smirk:
