jars

Allright m8,
the kerr/ball canning jars that the American shroomies use are rarer than rocking horse shit in the uk. Sainsbury's do a brand of jam that is ideal tho. Just cruise the preserves and jam aisles looking for jars that are wider at the top than at the bottom, and get ready to make some tarts/eat lots of toast/waste lots of jam!
I don't know how they would cope with pressure cooking, but i know an online store in the uk that stocks autoclavable reusable jars - a bit pricey, about 15 quid for 4 i think. PM me and i'll give you the link if you want something more proffessional than jam jars.
I'm using the jam jars myself - pf, steamer - and they're fine so far.
Hope this helps

Everything made of glass will survive pressure cooking, if you act reasonably(no schock)...

The reusable/disposable Ziploc containers work perfectly! I've been using the 1 cup size for some time now.The only problem is that after pressure cooking 3 or 4 times, you have to secure the lid on with a little tape.
Yes,these containers are plastic and NO they do not melt in the pressure cooker! Give them a try!
