My jars won't fit if I stand them straight up in my PC, will it be ok for me to place them on their sides and stack them?
Also, is duct tape ok to put in the PC, or will it lose it's stickiness from the humidity?

Well, you can't have anyplaces where water could get into the jars under water, if you have jars sitting the correct way on the bottom, I've seen people lay jars down sideways on the top.

Not wise idea to lay jars on sides , excessive moisture can get in and out , duct tape glue will hold , but will make one hell of a mess after awhile in the PC . Advice .......... get smaller jars or bigger PC , use 3m micropore tape for closing holes on lids . Good Luck

oh yea, and do you mean use the micropore tape for whole thing, or just to cover up the innoculation holes?
If it's just for the holes, is this equivalent to polyfill?

Yes use it to cover the holes you made in the lid for inoccing . The glues of duct tape tend to get real mushy and gooey when you heat it up in a PC , this glue then sticks to jars , and walls of the PC . 3M micropore will stay stuck thru PC process , and if not put new piece over hole and keep there thru the whole colonization process , allows some gas exchange , where as duct tape will not . Make sense ?

Can you suggest anything else I can use as a lid and that can go through in my luggage and not spill everywhere? I got 10 mins left 'till the store closes!
