PNW Clearcut Hunt
    #7339166 -

so I went for a walk in a local clearcut during some awesome weather. rode my bike all the way up the freaky large hill and parked it here where I decided to adventure into the field.

I started walking into this place, deeper and deeper into the trail of bushes and burried logs, no mushrooms anywhere to be found!

something kept moving off in the distance, i could continuously hear it but wasnt thinking anything of it.

then I came across the middle of all these bones, front legs, skull, and rib cage of a rather large animal. some of them are even rather fresh, infact one of them still has some slobber on it.
oh shit!
and on my way out I caught a glance at the critter running out of the field, although when
I grabbed my camera and snapped a pic it didnt come out enough to show him
but this was my first time ever seen a LYNX!

crazy big cat, probably more scared of me than I was of him, but damn was it a big cat.
thats the last time i go into that place without my 14inch knife

Were you looking for Ps. Pelliculosa or just going on a mushroomhike?

just going on a bike ride, and saw a road leading to a clearcut on the mountain. so I followed it up a few miles until I reached this giant misty clearing in the clouds.

it had been raining straight for the past few days, and had finally stopped so I went for a ride.

I usually always have my camera with me, theres always something going on everytime its not with me :nonono:

I will definitely keep an eye out on this clearing though, if you were referring to my buried log statement

Them bones look like the PNW Tree Octopus claimed another victim. It's about time for them to start their migration.

Vicious little buggers:

Good luck I have always wanted to find Ps. Pelliculosa. Even though they are not the most potent mushroom i have heard they grow in clusters that would blow your mind!

I see lynxes sometimes, they aren't much bigger than a regular cat.

If you felt the need for a knife maybe it was a mountain lion, a much larger and rarer thing.  I have never seen one but last year I head the scream, a deeply a bone chilling noise when you are in the middle of nowhere.

this was much bigger than a regular cat, probably twice the size in bone structure, but it was shaped differently than a mountain lion.
more squared off and more grey than tan.
I was also able to notice the flaring hairs on its head as it "hopped" around through the brush and into the forest edge.

definitely a lynx.

although there was a mountain lion who came down here and ate some neighbors dog a few years ago.

My girlfriend spotted a bobcat last fall on the central CA coast.  It looks potentially dangerous to me, but it didn't scare my girlfriend.

The skunk ape likes to vacation in the PNW for the summers, I'm sure it was him.
