To Catch A Predatory - My Criticism

***BEFORE I CONTINUE, I WANT IT TO BE KNOWN THAT I DO NOT CONDONE SEX WITH A MINOR, NOR DO I CONDONE ANY ILLEGAL ACTIVITY***

To start, ill say that I am 16 years of age.

Alright now, I understand they are trying to do a job, making a living and all of that....however

I don't understand why sex with a minor is against the law.

Rape is one thing, that is completely wrong. But if the child is willing...I don't see where the actual harm is...

Now it makes sense to have these protective laws for children who are VERY young, but children that are atleast 12 years old are old enough to realize what they are doing, and what they are talking about. I believe they are old enough to make informed decisions on sex, and are ready to explore themselves and others sexually.

Not only that, but I think that in America, people should have the right to do what they want. If they want to have those wierd fetishes, and if they want to risk their lives to meet people, then so be it.

You have to understand that, if the people in question were...say only a couple years older..Even only MONTHS older than they are, it wouldn't be illegal.

It doesn't seem JUST to be able to set people up over the internet, lie about their identity and then arrest them and charge them with these crimes. Who the HELL are they to judge these people for what turns them on?

In my HONEST opinion, I think that it should be against the law for Chris Hansen to do what he does.

In EVERY state, there are two elements that make up a corpus delecti, IE the actual law/crime...these two elements are:
The loss, injury, or HARM, and the actual criminal act.

So under actual, realistic law, underage sex IS NOT A CRIME, there is NO LOSS INJURY OR HARM. Which would in essence then, not make it a crime.
