X-Box 360...bass guitar...something else?

Funny, as I post about quitting my job I probably shouldn't be spending money...but I've recently come into 3 or 4 hundred dollars that I can spend at my will, and I feel like being decadent. At first I toyed with the idea of buying a bass guitar or some other musical instrument, ya know, develop my self as a human being with talents and all that jazz.

Then I spent a week at a friend's house and had my first X-Box 360 playing experience and now I drool all over the thought of getting one. Oh, what to do, what a world.

Whatever you do, do not combine the two ideas and hone your "skills" at Guitar Hero.

I say go for the guitar / instrument, but it won't be nearly as instantly gratifying (in fact it will anger you for many years) as the 360.

use the money for a ps3, free online gaming and extras, opposed to the evil Microsoft comp pricing wallpapers cause their programs get cracked

and if its a guitar make sure it comes with a portable amp and whammy bar, with metal finger slide, for wailing on nature.

Screw the game. That will last maybe a few months/years until you are bored or something better is out. A properly cared for guitar will last you many many years and you can actually learn something more useful than how to beat halo 3.

If you're serious about wanting to play an instrument, go for that. Or put some money into your computer so you can play the new games coming out. But don't spend it on some lame console.

I feel like im being more productive and stimulated staring at a blank wall than video games.Bass! You have to be 110% into it though.

haha... When's the last time you played?!

HD 1080i graphics and true Dolby Digital surround sound make video games VERY interesting these days... Plus, they are more robust and draw you into a whole different world for a few hours...

Some people are musical, and that's great... But you have to remember that to someone with no musical talent, a bass guitar is simply an oversized paperweight. :smile:

ANYONE can enjoy video games with just a few hours of practice!
