Bass Players

So, I have noticed a higher rate of bass players (weird huh) in drug-related cultures. (or drug-based cultures)
beats me what it is, but whatever it is, it seems to be a higher number of bass players than any other instrument.
just wondering who in here plays bass also.
I play upright in an orchestra, and electric in a acid-jazz and experimental band.

bass is my life foo. i dunno i would still definetly contend that there are way more people playing guitars, espesialy around the bay area. but yeah there is no shortage of good bass talent around here. for me my whole bass life has been about forging new ground and trying to use te instrement to tap into somthing completly new and undiscovered. this is making me want to play

mushrooms are the only drug i actualy make an effort to lay under the influens of. acid is fun too, but my ideas are more disjointed and usualy not as fluid. mushrooms put you in the perfect state of being for playing bass imho.

I've been playing bass for about 5 years now, also play guitar and a little bit of drums but bass is my favorite insturment.I mostly stick to slap bass because you can do a whole lot more with that style of playing.
Cheers.

In my opinion, stringed instruments sound awesome while tripping on acid.
No coincidence numerous bass players trip.

reverse delay is awesome tripping.
try turning on some 50's scifi, or just scifi if you have it (add some synth) and just scrape a pick along the string.
NOTE TO BASS PLAYERS: im looking for a bass compatible string changing tool, something that can handle a low b (1.25?)
PM me up yall,, i spent 50$ on new strings and im dying to put them on (dr blakc beauties )

Well, if i want to cut the low B with what i have around the house, i have to use the power hedge trimmers, so thats kinda gae.
i also need a winder ATTACHED to it, i havent been able to find one cheep enough for me, but if someone has one, it would be nice.

I dont like spending all the time winding it, cuz the low B Just winds, and winds, and winds, it takes me like a few hours to get it vaguely to stay in tune

Ibanez SRX 505. Awesome bass, better than all the other models as of late.
i listen to alot of experimental, lots of pop, lots of classical, and a little jazz and/or rock.
