why are glove boxes important??

im curious as to why a golve box is important.....is it for sterilizaton, or just to keep things from geting contaminated by "outside" air and the spores in it??

A glove box is a good idea if your going to be doing transfers. I'm starting to work with agar and am building one myself which will eventually incorperate a hepa air filter setup

Yeah, gllove boxes are perfect for grain to grain transfers, and no doubt at their cheap cost to build, one is well worth it.
Just be sure to heat up the plastic with a hair dryer or something when you cut your holes in the bin, that way you won't crack the bin. I've done that before and it sucks cuz you have to start all over.
