Ok, ur terrarium has its 1" layer of damp perlite, its hygrometer and its colonized cake (sitting on its piece of foil) ....but hypothetically speaking, lets say this cake is contaminated. The cake is now thrown out. U now have 2 different cakes that are ready to be fruited, now can one still use this same terrarium as IS with everything still inside it or does it need to be completely cleaned out (i.e. dump the old perlite, clean & sanitize the terrarium, add a fresh new damp layer perlite and sanitize the hygometer...)????
I havent been using a see thru lid, just saran wrap double layered!
Im thinking that with a contaminated cake , will also mean everything else INSIDE is contaminated and needs to be thrown out otherwise the new cakes that are going to be fruited may suffer the same results
What to do plz?

Your best bet is to clean out the whole terrarium. You can still have bad mold spores floating around the terrarium or possibly somewhere inside the terrarium. I would imagine you would have to clean out the whole thing and wash down with maybe a bleach/vinegar/water solution...

yea i figured that ...but i didnt really see any green or black mold..i am just ASSUMING it is contaminated. No bad smell coming out of it. Now lets do a 180 and say that it wasnt contaminated can u still use the same fruiting chamber for different cakes or do u alwayz have to clean and sanitize after each session fruiting?
Guess i'll dump everything and wash the container and hygrometer down wit warm water and lysol (or as mycellium put it ... bleach/vinegar/ and water) Now is there a certain way to discard damp perlite..or can u just chuck it in the garbage can as is?
Now i have to sterilize the room and put everything together again!
Thx Mycellium and Moe.
