Fruiting pans or mexicans directly from pint jars.

Has anyone used straw and brown rice in the pint jars to fruit directly? I left 1/2 ich space from lid with poly fill. Then sterilized peat/verm/lime pellets.After full colozination I taped black plastic around the jar and put the casing in and am letting it sit for 2 days....I figured I wouldnt have to disturb the myc and will get a smooth fruiting...ANYONE EVER DONE THIS?????

pan trops fruiting straight from the jar, on cased whole rice.
the yield wasn?t worth the bother though, since the same jar spawning some dung could produce 100 times as much.
